I was born in Mexico City, where my rich cultural traditions have profoundly shaped my artistic voice. These traditions, rooted in resilience and connection, offer powerful tools for both social and individual transformation. My work embraces this heritage while exploring universal themes of identity, emotion, and spirituality.
My art deeply explores emotions and internal experiences, which serve as the primary catalyst for my creative inspiration. Each piece begins with a free-flowing expression using alcohol inks on synthetic paper, where the medium’s natural fluidity mirrors the unpredictability of life. From this organic foundation, I intuitively layer different mediums, such as acrylics or oils, and occasionally incorporate digital tools. This process allows each piece to evolve naturally, reflecting both spontaneity and intentionality in its final form.
Portraits hold a significant place in my practice. Starting with a photograph, I weave organic and imaginative motifs using watercolors and Photoshop to craft expressive compositions. These portraits reflect a rich tapestry of emotion, fantasy, and nature, capturing both the essence of the subject and the deeper, unseen connections that define us. I also create narrative illustrations, blending traditional watercolors and digital tools like Procreate to tell vibrant, evocative stories.
Intuition is the essence of my creative process—my guide and my tool. It leads me to explore directions I might not consciously consider, shaping the piece through organic emergence. Colors, patterns, and shapes surface instinctively, revealing a dynamic reflection of my inner state. This spontaneity mirrors my journey of self-discovery and transformation, infusing each work with authenticity and depth.
Art is my passion and my sanctuary—a place where time dissolves, and I lose myself in the process. It is my medicine, my spiritual path, and my offering to the world. Through art, I channel energy, transform emotions, and connect with others on a profoundly human level.
The opportunity to teach has added an enriching dimension to my practice. Guiding others to discover their creativity is one of the most rewarding experiences of my journey as an artist. It deepens my purpose and reinforces my belief in art as a tool for healing, connection, and transformation.
